Ezam Jadi Pelacur Baru UMNO?

Di kala orang-orang lama UMNO keluar parti, Ezam Mohammad Nor masuk UMNO atas alasan Abdullah Badawi sudah menggubah UMNO dan kerajaan pimpinannya… Masuk akal ke? Masa mula-mula Ezam umumkan beliau keluar dari PKR, aku agak terkejut. Tapi bila beliau masuk UMNO, aku dah jangka… Beberapa kali aku pernah menghadiri ceramah beliau sewaktu masih menerajui Pemuda Keadilan, isteri aku pun pernah turun menonton bersama.

Can you tell us the real story on how you joined Umno?

By Ezam Mohd Nor

There is a huge difference with what is being said about me meeting Umno leaders before the recent general election and the one before the 2004 election on my decision to join Umno. In 1999, after I was arrested under ISA (Internal Security Act), there were no efforts to pull me back into Umno. Later, there were attempts to get me to leave PKR and join Umno. I reject it at that time. My principle was that I will not make a deal while I am still in prison.

I was released in 2003 and Abdullah Ahmad Badawi became prime minister. He is different from Dr Mahathir (Mohamad). Mahathir’s approach is to pressure where by the more you fight him, the more he will pressure you. But Abdullah’s approach is to pull. That is why during the 2004 election, there were attempts to pull me back to Umno.

I saw that as an opportunity then to deal for Anwar Ibrahim’s freedom, at least to allow him to seek medical treatment overseas. At that time, Anwar was in critical condition. After discussing with other party members, they felt that priority must be given to save Anwar’s life. So we decided to initiate discussions with Umno leaders.

Those I met included Dr Mohd Khir Toyo, Muhammad Muhd Taib (both former Selangor MBs) and Abdul Aziz Shamsuddin (former minister). This was carried out with Anwar’s knowledge. In my second meeting with Khir Toyo, Anwar told me to bring along PKR leaders to the discussion as witnesses – Kamarul Baharin Abbas, Abdul Rahman Osman and Johari Abdul. Four of us went to meet Khir Toyo and I led the discussions. This was all before the 2004 general election.

So we met at Khir Toyo’s house and our stand was any deal must start with freeing Anwar, at least to get him medical treatment. When Khir Toyo could not commit, we backed out. He told us to contest and join the party but we said no. We are not interested in what we will get. Our focus is clear.

Then we met with Aziz with 12 other people and the same thing happened. He could not commit so I ended the conversation there. Some friends carried on the negotiations and joined Umno but I can understand that those were tough days and they had financial problems. I could not stop them but we’re still friends. I see that as a form of betrayal.

After the 2004 election, Anwar’s health got worse. BN won big and Dr Wan Azizah (Wan Ismail) then asked me to work on getting Anwar out and to open negotiations. We tried all sorts of ways. I met with Rahmah Osman (former deputy minister) who was then close to Abdullah and who was sympathetic to us. We sent a group of people to see the Muslim muftis (clerics) and Umno leaders close to the PM but the message did not reach him.

One day, a foreign reporter told me, ‘if you want to get to the PM, you get Khairy (Jamaluddin)’. I didn’t know Khairy. I must put this on record since there are so many allegations about me and him. This was about May or June 2004. So I tried to find Khairy through contacts in London and in the end I got it and I met him. That’s where my relationship with Khairy started.

I told him about our concerns for Anwar’s health and to pass this message to PM. After two meetings, he arranged a meeting between Wan Azizah and PM at PM’s office. I don’t know the details as I did not go in but it was basically about Anwar’s health. The first concern was to put Anwar permanently in hospital because at that time he was being tranferred in and out of prison. Right then, Abdullah picked up the phone, called the health minister and ordered to take Anwar out on the spot. We also asked for Anwar to receive overseas treatment but he was non-committal about that. Then lastly, we asked Abdullah not to interfere with Anwar’s trial unlike Mahathir. He gave his commitment not to interfere with the trial.

I still met with Khairy after that to get Anwar overseas medical treatment. Khairy tried and there was an agreement to send Anwar for treatment in Singapore instead of Germany. At first Wan Azizah did not agree but when I met Anwar, he said okay. According to Khairy, Abdullah agreed to this but the attorney-general challenged that it was against the provisions of the laws. So it did not materialise.

After a while, the court fixed a date for the appeal so we ceased discussions until the judgment. As it turned out, Anwar was released so as a courtesy I told Khairy about it and he asked if there was anything else he could do. I asked Anwar and Anwar said he wanted his passport back. So I told Khairy and that night alone, Khairy came over to Anwar’s house with the passport. So that is the incident when Khairy visited Anwar’s house.

I want to stress, the entire process was about saving Anwar’s life, not about any deal. I thought Anwar would come to my defence when people linked me to Khairy because they all knew. In fact I rejected all offers and remained steadfast to get Anwar out. After Anwar was free, there were no more dealings. I did not meet Khairy again. In fact he was afraid to see me because he was suffering from fierce criticisms at that time. We ceased our relationship.

In 2005, I had problems with the party and I started to distant myself from the party and set up Gerak (People’s Anti-Corruption Movement). There was no deal until this general election in March. Before this, friends tried to get me back into Umno but I rejected them all. Friend from PAS sincerely wanted me to contest in a safe seat in Kelantan but I rejected that too. Why? Because I was focused on reforms.

In 2008, there were invitation for me to run but I rejected those offers because I did not see any reforms in Umno worth joining back. At that time, I felt I was pushing for reforms more effectively through civil society with Gerak. After the new election tsunami, efforts were made by Abdullah and that is a significant move for reforms on the judiciary and corruption. I said these reforms are fundamental and I’m confident that it will open up the space and that’s why they arranged a meeting between me and Abdullah about a month ago.

If you want to call it a deal then, that’s the first deal to join Umno. After a two-hour meeting, I truly believe he is committed to reforms and he asked me to join Umno. It took me a week to discuss and talk it over with friends and family, so I made my decision in the end to join Umno. This is the whole process that took place.

Wallahualam… Persoalannya, kenapalah Pak Anwar hanya sibuk menghentam Najib? Bagaimana dengan Dollah Badawi…? Banyak kesilapan yang lahanat ni dah buat…

Human Weapon – Silat

For those who didn’t know what ‘silat’ is today must have been cast away on an island far away or you have might been abducted by an alien who invaded planet Earth and take you to Mars or something. Silat is an old Malay form of martial arts and war combating style who is now gaining the world attention by the time I’m writing this article. The History Channel is currently focusing and promoting martial arts topic and practitioner from all over the world to appear in their TV documentary series called ‘Human Weapon’, and this time, they have come to test the Malay ancient martial arts called silat…

For those who know me personally, I’m a proud silat practitioner myself since 1987 and now has become one of the instructors among many others in Malaysia. There are more of five martial arts (including silat) I’ve studied and practising since 1987 but what makes me stick to silat? the answer is simple – I’ve found it to be the most deadliest human weapon it could be. It may look soft and kind in our eye but it is so much deadly once you had a strike. I am dare to say this kind of statement as I’ve test the formula, techniques and etc in real life. So far I have found no one that can handle one deadliest move of silat single handedly. I’m not saying that other martial arts is not good. For me, all martial arts is good and deadliest. It just depends solely on how you tackle it, play around it and what suits you best. As for me I choose silat as it suits me best. And I am proud of it since it’s an ancient Malays martial arts. For more info on my silat history and backgrounds, please click here.

Silat was originaly played among the Royal Sultanate of Malays back in 15th century. It is a secret lesson where no any other ordinary villagers may learn. That’s when silat has been divided in two forms. Permainan Istana (Palace form of silat) and Permainan Kampung (villagers or normal people form of silat). I’m not going to explain everything here as it is kind of deep but once you learn and know exactly what silat is, you will know how to differentiate the two styles. Nowadays, silat has been practiced by people from all over the world. It is not only limited to the Malays anymore. But I’m still sceptical about this issues as I treat silat like an ‘ibadat’ (pray) and it’s secret shouldn’t be open to public. It need deep concentration and honesty to yourself and Islam as the religion to learn the martial arts. But I’m still happy when seeing other races or believers learn silat. They may learn the move, the speed, the steps and some of the weapon such as keris and etc. but the secret behind all of that will forever remain secret… Now that’s the funny parts.

Inshaallah, if God permits me to teach silat to my son and grandson soon, I will do it and I will always carry this kind of martial arts until the very last breath of my life. It just sad that kids and teenagers nowadays especially the Malay itself don’t have any interest of learning this old form of their ancestors martial arts anymore. It is sad but it’s true. But what surprised me is that non-Malays are digging hard enough to learn this weapon. Anyway, here’s a video collection of History Channel – Human Weapon documentary series focusing on silat presented by Jason Chambers, a 16 times winner of the MMA fighting tournament and Bill Duff, a pro football player and a wrestler himself. And hey guess what..? A few of my students was there in the video – Part #5! 😀

According to Jason Chambers, “Centuries after its creation, silat is still one of the world rarest, most diverse and most deadly martial arts…!” – Now what did I say before…? 😀

Although the documentary only select a few silat (Pertubuhan) to be featured in, behind many others it is still worth to watch, listen and learn. Check it out. For more info of the series, please click here.

Toyota AE86 Trueno GT Apex

Finally, I have secured one complete engine of 4A-GEU 20 valve (Black top) through an old friends of mine. The engine is now ready for me and ready to show some potential either on circuit or on normal road conditions. What else should be the dream of all fast driver or anyone that wanted to go fast? An engine that could be revved up until 11,000 RPM with 6 speed manual transmission… After my long waiting, all I need now is a good chassis…

I am looking for a ROAD LEGAL old car which is Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno or Corolla Levin GT Apex hatchback model. No matter if it’s a ‘Zenki’ (models produced from 1983–1985) or a ‘Kouki’ (1986-1987). Preferably the right hander driver (the Japan / UK spec). My intention has got nothing to do with the drifting scene or Initial D anime / magga series. For those who know me personally they should know what I mean plus I’ve driven it last time for more than three years. Even my dad drive a Corolla version in his early adult era.. So I’m not talking cock here…

Anyone who are selling or know anyone else who are selling, please do let me know. I’m not looking for the modified one but solely looking for the stock condition one. No matter if the body and chassis is rusted, I’ll take it. And no matter if there’s no engine anymore, I’ll take it as well as I’ve already had the engine… Please, not the chop one i.e the chassis has been chopped and then resembled again as one piece. I’m looking for the solid piece one…

The price I’m willing to pay for is not more than Ringgit Malaysia 13,000. If you know anyone or you wanted to sell it less than that, then please contact me through my email at electrotouch@yahoo.co.uk. I’ll be paying you not more than Ringgit Malaysia 13k CASH after I’ve look at the car chassis. And if you know anyone or you might be able to ship the car for me here in Peninsular Malaysia from lets say.. Japan, Philiphines, Thailand, Sabah / Sarawak, I’ll work on the paper for you and we can discuss about the shipment thingy later.

As I’ve said earlier, I’ve already had the engine, just looking for the chassis. Buzz me soon and thanks for your time!

Today is the day where my new family members join in my family journey. May 5th, 2008 at around 7.30 am, my cat – Kathy gave birth to 4 cute kittens! One is grey color, one is similar to its mother (3 colors – Orange, white and grey), one is black and white and the other one is grey and white. Yay.. I am so happy with the news… I was there helping Kathy to deliver her baby..

As for now, i hasn’t come up with the name for those kittens yet but sure we will soon. All I’m thinking now is how to train those cute kittens to use the toilet just like their mother did all this while. Thank you Kathy for sending us your wonderful baby. I love you… Very much!

Ok, if you think that early post of David Blaine is funny or maybe not funny enough for you, watch this! Do you remember last time when we used to hide over a blanket when Micheal Jackson Thriller music video appeared on TV? Yes… It was good old 80s! And the video does scared a hell lot of kids of that era. The 80s was full with horror, alien attack on earth kind of movie and their musical influences varies from one genre to another among that scopes. Not to forget those shinny and glow in the dark effects. Honestly, I love 80s more than the year 2000 and 80s has leave a huge impact on me especially on my musical influences…

Now, this is a remake music video from Micheal Jackson famous Thriller by God knows who this Indian fellow is… This was a re-written lyric as well. Not the Micheal Jackson one. Back then Micheal Jackson was a king of pop… At least before he had an interest on small and underage boys! Yeah… BOYS!

What the f? Enjoy… 😀

So, how’s that? Now, watch the second one.. It’s the same video but this time it comes with lyric. 😆

LOL. Now I can cool a bit from my work stress… 😎

Ok. Lets forget about how hectic our office was. How terrible life could be when your 24-7 being ruined by your bossy ‘unknowledgable’ boss. Let us all forget about Malaysian political scene for a while, about how shitty Pak Lah is and how greedy Najib get when he’s dealing anything about money. Not to forget about all the wrong doings they are showing us each day. Forget about all that for a while…

Let this ‘David Blaine’ entertain you with his street magic skills! For me, it makes my day!
