Karbala In Memory

Yeah it’s 1428.. welcome.. welcome.. but yes, I’m getting older. It’s a new year day in Muslim calendar.. It’s a month with full of history and tragedy.. Prophet Muhammad SAW and his followers has done the pilgrimage from Mecca to Madinah.. Another ‘Ahlul Bait’ (Prophet Muhammad SAW decendant) has been killed in a Battle of Karbala – Saidina Hussain.. Peace be upon him.. It’s also a month that is most sacred to the Syiah (Shi’ite) Muslim community and fasting on the first ten days of the month is observed by Syiah Muslims to commemorate the martyrdom of Saidina Hussain (The beloved grandson of Prophet Muhammad SAW) and the ‘Tragedy of Karbala’…

Muharram is the first month of the Islamic calendar. It is one of the four sanctified months of the year. Fighting in this month is looked down upon and is often put to the side in respect for Islam. Since the Islamic calendar is lunar, Muharram moves from year to year when compared with the Gregorian calendar.

The first day of Muharram is the start of the Islamic New Year. The Festival of Muharram takes place during this month in which Syiah (Shi’ite) Muslims especially commemorate the Battle of Karbala. The commemoration reaches its climax on the tenth day of Muharram, known as Ashurah.

This day is related to the time of Moses when he crossed the Red Sea escaping from the Pharaoh. Sunnah (Sunni) Muslims often fast on this sacred day. However, some Sunnah Muslims do not even recognize this day at all…!

This month of Muharram also has traditions which have no support from Islamic teachings. For example, the celebration of the Muslim new year, and the partying and card giving, etc, associated with it is considered to be a ‘bida’ah’ and even ‘haram’ to all Syiah muslims because they feel it is a time to mourn and it is ‘haram’ to express any happiness.

Muharram is so called because it was unlawful to fight during this month; the word is derived from the word ‘haram’ meaning forbidden. It is held to be the most sacred of all the months. The tenth day is called Ashurah, meaning, ‘the tenth’, and it is a day of voluntary fasting. The Sunnah Muslims also fast during Muharram and on the tenth day as recommended by the Prophet Muhammad during his lifetime..

And as usual, I welcome the ‘Awal Muharram & Maal Hijrah’ with arms wide open.. with hope that as high as the skies.. with smile and tears.. with cheers and fears… with all new resolutions and et cetera…

By the way, I’ve recieved an sms from my old friends just now, which i think it’s good to share with you guys.. here it is..

“The year is almost gone but it has also made us strong, the path was long but we walked it with a ‘song’. There were fears and tears but we also had reasons for cheers… Wishing you happy memories of 1427 and have a great Maal Hijrah 1428, new year… Insyaallah!!”

New Year

Manusia-manusia yang tak kenal usia.. =) Tua-muda.. sama sahaja..

Sebab bos kat ofis aku ni pun sama.. kaki betina!! Bini kat rumah terkapai-kapai.. tak mengapalah… lupakan hal tu..

Radhi malam tahun baru tu tak banyak celotehnya.. mungkin sebab tengak mabuk dilamun cinta dengan kekasih baru agaknya.. aku, macam biasa la, komen sana.. komen sini… aku sedih, bila tengok anak bangsa sendiri jadi macam ni. sedih bila memikirkan yang mereka-mereka ini semua fikir mereka berada dalam zon selesa.. zon selamat.. kerajaan jaga semuanya.. hakikatnya…

Kita tersepit…
Kita terkepit oleh perlembagaan bodoh kerajaan…
Kita layu di tangan kerajaan…

Jangan sampai kita jadi seperti Melaka yang diserang Portugis pada subuh 14 Ogos 1511 selepas sepanjang malam berpesta sakan ditaja oleh Sultan Mahmud Shah…

Salary RM3,000/month enough..?

I,ve found that this is very interesting to share with you guys…!! read on and think about it, where have all our money gone to..

Let’s do some simple calculations here…

In Malaysia, the average family income is RM3,000/month (where father works, mother doesn’t). I understand there are many families whose monthly income does not reach RM3,000, but, to make things simple, let’s take RM3,000 as the figure. Ok lah, right?

Okay, let’s start rolling with a family which has Papa, Mama, 1 daughter and 1 son. Ngam-ngam…

Calculation starts…

– Electricity and water bill: RM100
(No air-con, No home theatre, No water heater … ok?)

– Phone bill (Telekom ): RM100

– Meals for a happy family: RM775
(3 meals on RM25/day, RM25 for 4 persons…?)

– Papa makan/teh-tarik during working hrs: RM155
(RM5/day, RM5 … can eat what?)

– Car repayment: RM400
(A second hand proton saga aeroback, 7 yrs repayment)

– Petrol (living in city, traffic-jam): RM300
(go to work, bring son to school, only can afford one car running)

– Insurance: RM650
(kids, wife and myself)

– House repayment: RM750
(low cost housing repayment for 30 yrs, retired still have to work to pay!)

– Tuition: RM80
(got that cheap meh? i don’t think so)

– Older children pocket money @ school: RM20
(RM1/day, eat bread?)

– School fees: RM30
(enough ah?)

– School books and etc: RM100
(always got extra to pay in school)

– Younger children milk powder: RM50
(cannot have the DHA, BHA, PHA one, expensive)

– Miscellaneous: RM100
(shampoo, rice, sauce, toilet paper)

Oh wait!!! I have to stop here, so… No Astro, no movie @ cinema, no DVD, no CD, no online, cannot KFC, cannot McDonald, cannot go Park walk during weekend (petrol expensive), no chit chat on phone with grandparents, and etc…

Let’s use a calculator to total up…

What the fuck? Man! RM3,610 already… EPF belum potong, income tax lagi.. already RM3,610 …

How to survive lah tuan-tuan dan puan-puan sekalian..?

Our Deputy Prime Minister asked us to change lifestyle? How to change? Don’t eat? Don’t work? Don’t send children to school and study? Besides that, I believe in Malaysia population, there are millions of rakyat Malaysia which still don’t earn RM3,000/month..! Wat is this? Inilah Malaysia Boleh.. “Sorry..” it should be “Malaysians Boleh”, because we’re still alive and kicking!!

Our politicians must be mad..! No, all their expenses are paid by somebody else. That is why so many people are trying to get elected. With pension some more..! No, they are not mad. Only pretending…

CHANGE THE GOVERMENT NOW!!!

Pesta Bodoh

Filem berkesudahan seperti biasa..

Bersambung…
